Batumi international airport is located in western part of Georgia, in region called Adjara.
Airport serves local and international traffic.
In 2009 airport was reconstructed and got new look. Control tower got new cosmic design, it shines with lights during night.
Interior also got reconstructed to match euro standards. Whole new terminal stand, packaging points, duty-free shops and cafes were built. For traveler convenience all polite airport service staff are multilingual.
You can get to city in several ways:
– by bus. It’s cheapest way to travel. Bus departs from airport regularly;
– by taxi. It will cost you 15 to 30lari depending on where you need to go. It would be a good idea to negotiate price before ride;
– by rented car. You can rent a car $30-100/day.
